Scott Tully

Tully created Diamond Skills Camp in the 2010 with lifelong Alameda friends Dustin Chavez and Ricky Rodriguez.  His passion and energy has helped the camp grow into one of the best in the country.  The camp was formed while Tully was a student-athlete at Cal State, Monterey Bay (CSUMB). He graduated with a degree in Business Management.  Tully then went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Education from Cal State, East Bay (CSUEB). He is currently the pitching coach at Monterey Bay, a position that makes him one of the youngest in the country.

Before he entered the coaching world, Tully had a successful athletic career.  At CSUMB, Tully was a starting pitcher on the baseball team.  As a senior he was the Friday starter (ace) of the staff and helped his team rebuild into one of the top teams in the highly competitive California Collegiate Athletic Association.  He was named the CCAA Pitcher of Week for his complete game performance versus UC San Diego (the #1 team in the country at the time).  Before CSUMB, Scott played at Sierra College, which is regarded as one of the best junior college baseball programs in the state of California.  He played for coach Rob Willson and was a member of the 2008 California State Championship team.  Scott's unplanned collegiate athletic career started at the University of Nevada, Reno where he signed a national letter of intent to play football for the Wolf Pack.  Scott grew up playing Alameda Little League, Alameda Babe Ruth, Alameda Youth Basketball, and Alameda Youth Soccer before being a three sport (Baseball, Basketball, Football) student-athlete at Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley.
